Match % = the area an organism shares with the target, divided by the area the two cover together. 100% means identical. Hover over an organism to see the target behind it.
Newcomers (2 extra removals each)
Wild cousins of your founders: children of two of them. You won't see them until they arrive next round.
How to play
Breed organisms until one of them matches the target shape closely enough (the line on each match bar).
Match % compares the two shapes laid on top of each other: the area they share, divided by the area either one covers. Shapes can't be turned or flipped, so a feature only counts if it points the same way as the target's. Big features cover the most area, so they move the score the most.
Each round: pick two pairs of parents, breed them, then remove organisms until you're back at the population cap. The same organism can be in both pairs.
Offspring mix their parents, and each one is a bit different. Some parents carry features they don't show. Colors link each pair to its offspring.
Newcomers: when you remove organisms, you can trade 2 extra removals for a newcomer (up to 2 a round). Newcomers are wild cousins of your founders and bring back variety your population may have lost. Your population shrinks a little in exchange.
